Courses I have taught and served as a teaching assistant in the past.

Biomechanics of Musculoskeletal Systems
Course Instructor
Fall 2024, Winter 2024

I finally got a chance to lead my own course!! This course focuses on the musculoskeletal system, its general characteristics, and classification of tissues and joints. Biomechanics and clinical problems in orthopedics are detailed. Modelling and force analysis of musculoskeletal systems are explored. Passive and active kinematics as well as load-deformation properties of passive connective tissue, and stimulated muscle response are demonstrated by way of experimental approaches and case studies.

Medical Technology Innovation and Development
Teaching Assistant
Winter 2024

This fun course is taught by Stuart Kozlick, P.Eng., MASc. who has a deep understanding of the MedTech industry and is also an Entrepreneur. The course includes systematic design methodologies and support concepts: clinical user need identification, brainstorming and conceptualization, system and robust design & development practices, verification & validation testing and failure modes analysis, regulatory affairs, for medical devices and technologies. Concepts and framework of ideation and conceptualization through to device output for sale as realized and defined by the medical device technology industry. Focus on corporate and technological phase structuring for systematic product design and medical business creation aspects. Real-world examples, artifacts from industry, recent articles, and presentations.

Statistics and Measurement Lab
Teaching Assistant
Fall 2024, Winter 2024, Fall 2023, Winter 2023, Fall 2022, Winter 2022

MECH 262 is primarily designed to understand experimental results in Mechanical Engineering with the help of statistics and is taught by Dr. Chris Yee Wong and in the past by Prof. Osaid Matar and Prof. Jovan Nedic. It includes Introduction to probability: conditional probability, binomial and Poisson distributions, random variables, laws of large numbers. Statistical analysis associated with measurements; regression and correlation. Basic experimental laboratory techniques, including the measurement of strain, pressure, force, position, and temperature.

Principles of Manufacturing
Teaching Assistant
Fall 2022

MECH 360 was taught by Prof. Amar Sabih and is designed to introduce students to the latest manufacturing techniques in part design, Computer Numeric Control (CNC), its tooling, and 3D printing. Theory and practice of modern manufacturing processes: machining, forming, and casting. Producing parts using computer-assisted tools from CAD to CNC machining followed by measurement of part quality. Hands-on CNC machining of parts.

Design Graphics for Mechanical Engineering
Teaching Assistant
Fall 2021, Winter 2021, Fall 2020

MECH 290 is designed for students to understand the engineering design process, techniques like DFM, DFA, Additive manufacturing, etc. It was taught by Prof. Yaoyao Zhao, Prof. Damiano Pasini, and Prof. Mark Driscoll. The course covers the design process, including free-hand sketching, geometry construction to manufacturing drawings, the technology and standards of engineering graphic communication, and designing with CAD software. The role of visualization in the production of mechanical engineering designs.
